Rules
Last updated August 21, 2026
GoUP is a public board for products that want to be seen. There is no secret score, editorial boost, or revenue split. A verified bid creates the position, and the same rule applies to every listing.
How ranking works
- Bids are whole US dollars, $2 minimum, $1 at a time.
- A bid below #1 still earns the highest position that amount can reach. Equal bids keep their arrival order, so the older payment remains higher.
- Use the same website or @handle to move an existing listing back to #1. The new total must clear the leader by at least $1, and you pay only the required difference.
- App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different apps don't share a bid. Tracking query strings are ignored.
- A leaderboard takeover costs 2× the current #1 and locks the first page for 3 hours. Only one takeover can be live at a time.
What belongs on GoUP
- A product website, an iOS or Android app, or an X profile (@handle).
- Chat and invite links are not allowed, including Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal, and similar services.
- Links to sexual content are not allowed. If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong on the board.
- Query parameters are stripped from listing links. Affiliate, referral, and tracking URLs will not work.
- Link shorteners are not allowed. If you submit one, it is replaced by the URL it redirects to.
When payment clears
- Your listing is public. Clicks go to the URL or profile you submitted without its original query parameters; GoUP adds its own attribution UTM.
- A completed payment is what claims the rank.
